The ACUHO-I team is ready and willing to provide educational programs and resources that will support you in your goal to provide the best possible housing experience for students. Some of the services we offer include:

Sallie Traxler Executive Director sallie@acuho-i.org
Sallie Traxler has been active in national and international association management since 1996. ACUHO-I's Executive Director since August 2004, she oversees the association's central office and works closely with the Executive Board to fulfill the strategic plan and serve the needs of Association members.
Previously, Sallie served as the Executive Director of the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) and as Director of Development and Strategic Alliances for the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA).
She received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Morehead State University in Kentucky where she graduated with honors.

Austin Baker Office Associate austin@acuho-i.org
Austin Baker is the Office Associate for the department of finance and administration for ACUHO-I. As the office associate he helps process accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and billing as well as providing assistance with office organization and clerical duties.
Austin brings with him a wide variety of experience as he has worked for The City of Grandview Heights as an accounting associate along with his years of experience in customer service and business management. Austin received both his bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Forensic Accounting from Franklin University.

James Baumann Director of Communications and Marketing james@acuho-i.org
As the Director of Communications and Marketing for ACUHO-I, James Baumann oversees a number of vehicles to increase the association's visibility and deliver educational and informative materials to the membership. He serves as editor of the Talking Stick magazine while also overseeing the publication of ACUHO-I books, other publications, and the association's website.
Before joining ACUHO-I, James was a contributing editor for the award-winning OHIO magazine and the author of two books - including a guide to Ohio colleges. He also spent five years managing copywriting and graphic design for a software company.
James graduated with a bachelor's degree from Capital University and earned a master's degree in magazine journalism from Ohio University. |

Karen Feasel Executive Assistant karen@acuho-i.org
Karen Feasel provides a high degree of administrative support to the Executive Director and the ACUHO-I Executive and Foundation Boards. Along with her duties supporting the executive director and both of the boards, Karen manages all human resource activities for the central office.
Karen has more than 17 years of experience in administrative positions with The Ohio State University Medical Center and the College of Medicine, as well as a successful background in customer service.

Emily Glenn Corporate Librarian emily@acuho-i.org
Emily Glenn is the ACUHO-I Corporate Librarian where she deals with information management issues and handles member questions and research questions. Emily also is the central office liaison for the Public Policy Advisory Committee.
Emily earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio University and received a master's degree through Kent State University's Library and Information Science program.

Alison Jones Director of Development & Corporate Relations alison@acuho-i.org
In the role of Director of Development and Corporate Relations, Alison Jones works with all aspects of the development needs for ACUHO-I, creating and maintaining relationships with corporate partnerships, and obtaining exhibit vendors and sponsorships. Alison provides direction, coordination, and leadership for developing corporate membership, sponsorships, advertising, exhibiting and contributions.
Alison's previous experience is with student affairs, where she previously worked at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida, and Otterbein College in Ohio. She also has a wealth of experience working directly with non-profit organizations such as the American Heart Association and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Alison earned her bachelor's degree in family studies and a master's degree in higher education college student personnel from Ohio University.

Jerry Ledbetter Director of Information Technology jerry@acuho-i.org
As the Director of Information Technology Jerry provides ACUHO-I with technology oversight and solutions. He directs online services and technological aspects of projects as well as the management and maintenance of the IT infrastructure. He also serves as the staff liaison to the Information Technology Committee.
Previously, Jerry was Director of Information Technology for the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas and IT Manager (Assistant Director) for the City of Dublin. With certifications in both project management and technical systems, Jerry brings over 14 years of experience with system and project management. His background includes system administration, integrations, risk management, instruction as well as industry background in higher education, government, banking/financial, justice, industrial automotive, and student housing.
Jerry received a bachelor’s degree in information management from Otterbein University, previously known as Otterbein College.

Lisa Martin, CMP Meetings and Events Manager lisa@acuho-i.org
Lisa Martin is responsible for planning, developing, managing, promoting, executing, and evaluating all ACUHO-I events. Lisa has earned the Certified Meeting Professional certification, CMP. This distinguished credential, recognized throughout the meetings, conventions, and exhibitions industry, demonstrates an individual’s comprehensive knowledge of meeting management as well as a commitment to the meeting profession.
Prior to taking the ACUHO-I position, Lisa served as an event developer with The Ohio Society of CPAs for more than eight years. Her past work includes developing programming in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Taxation and the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. She also previously taught freshman composition part-time.
Lisa earned her master's degree from the University of Toledo and her bachelor's degree from Adrian College.

Sheila Meyer Director of Finance & Administration sheila@acuho-i.org
Sheila Meyer, as the Director of Finance and Administration contributes to ACUHO-I by providing financial oversight, development of operational policies and procedures, acts as liaison to the ACUHO-I Executive Board and Foundation Board, and assists in business process improvement and analysis.
Previously, Sheila was Director of Finance for the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Vision Service Plan, and brings over 29 years of experience in areas of auditing, financial management, financial analysis, cost accounting, business administration and business process improvement. Sheila is a current member of the Government Finance Officers Association, sits on the Board of Directors for Fairfield Industries serving on the finance and contract committees and is past treasurer of the Bloom Carroll High School PTO.
Sheila received a bachelor’s degree in business administration accounting from Franklin University.

Olivea Oldham, MPA Public Relations & Marketing Manager olivea@acuho-i.org
Olivea Oldham serves as the ACUHO-I Public Relations and Marketing Manager and works closely with the Director of Communications. She is responsible for managing projects in the communications department, including weekly announcements and e-marketing, updating the website, program guides and advertising for events, as well as promotional materials, marketing displays and photography.
Olivea’s previous experience is with marketing and communications for the WOUB Center for Public Media and the College of Health and Human Services at Ohio University. She also has a background in photography and marketing and promotions for small businesses.
Olivea earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and a master's degree in public administration from Ohio University.

Camille Perlman Managing Editor, Talking Stick camille@acuho-i.org
Camille Perlman lends her writing and editing talents to assist with the production of ACUHO-I publications. As managing editor for the Talking Stick, she helps create the magazine by shaping the editorial plan and advising authors regarding editorial plans, deadlines, and submission guidelines.
A member of the ACUHO-I central office staff since 1999, Camille complements her editorial background with a great deal of institutional knowledge.
A member of Association Media & Publishing, Camille graduated from The Ohio State University with bachelor's degrees in journalism and communications.

Laura Pietrykowski Membership and Volunteer Coordinator laura@acuho-i.org
Laura Pietrykowski is the membership and volunteer coordinator for ACUHO-I. In this position she is responsible for member recruitment and retention, database management, and volunteer management. She also helps support the Association's education department.
Laura is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in human ecology with a specialization in consumer sciences.

Angela Sherman Accountant angela@acuho-i.org
Angela Sherman is the Accountant for ACUHO-I. Angela manages the Association and Foundation's accounts payables and receivables, as well as pledges and donations made to the ACUHO-I Foundation. She is also responsible for the preparation of all financial statements for the Association and Foundation.
Angela came to ACUHO-I with more than five years of accounting experience and a great deal of customer service experience. She graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Lori Sobota Education Manager lori@acuho-i.org
In the role of Education Manager, Lori Sobota is responsible for the planning, management, and evaluation of the educational projects of the association, including conferences, institutes, study tours, webinars, short courses and credentialing programs. This position is charged to develop and enhance the association's just-in-time/online education efforts with an emphasis on e-learning.
Lori brings over 6 years of experience in training and educational product management at ASM International. Her previous career at Philips Medical Systems includes 11 years of marketing and communications experience.
Lori earned her bachelor's degree in secondary education from Kent State University in Ohio.

Walt Vivod Office Manager walt@acuho-i.org
As the ACUHO-I Office Manager, Walt Vivod serves as primary point of contact between the association's central office and its membership. He delivers a broad range of office clerical and organizational services for the association, including association shipping and collections.
Walt brings with him extensive experience with managing phone systems and databases as well as exceptional customer service skills. These are utilized to a great extent as he helps with event registration, responding to association member requests, and enabling the work of the ACUHO-I central office.
Walt received an associate's degree in applied business/medical secretarial from Terra State Community College. |
