ACUHO-I is pleased to announce its newly elected executive board members and sincerely congratulates them on their election victory. Their terms will begin at the 2010 ACUHO-I Annual Conference & Exposition in Austin.

Vice President 3 years (Presidential Cycle)
Duties: The Vice President Position moves into the President-elect and President positions in subsequent years; VP liaisons with external association business partners and the Foundation Board; assists with the management of task forces and committees; oversees constitutional reviews; and serves as association leader in the absence of the president and president-elect.

Globalization Director 3 Years
Duties: To provide global experience regarding college and university housing operations and systems outside the United States along with leadership to facilitate ACUHO-I to become the world’s foremost authority on college and university housing; to bring an understanding of how ACUHO-I’s new or existing products and services will be utilized and/or viewed by members and customers outside the United States; to act as the primary advisor to the association on global issues and strategy and serve as liaison with non-US regional affiliates to share knowledge and grow the influence of ACUHO-I and its members; encourage student housing professionals around the world to develop and share knowledge in a variety of formats such as publications, presentations, webinars, videos, social networks, and the like; and to serve as ACUHO-I’s ambassador to student housing professionals outside the US to promote relationships between student housing professionals in different countries.

Facilities and Physical Environment Director 2 Years
Duties: Provides leadership in defining and promoting cost effective, comfortable, safe, secure, and sustainable housing environments for campuses; also provides expertise in the areas of sustainability, renovation, construction, amenity planning/purchasing, and residence hall maintenance and operations; and assists with committee/task force leadership as assigned.
Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in campus housing operations and maintenance practices; past record of successful leadership in renovation and new construction projects; experience working with corporate business partners preferred.

Business Practices and Enhancements Director 2 Years
Duties: Provides leadership and support for association business practices and ensures that association maintains professional standards in its practices with corporate partners; provides expertise in the areas of marketing, technology, and conferencing as they relate to meeting the changing needs of the association’s members; also provides management, procurement practices, and contracting of services; and assists with committee/task force leadership as assigned.
Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in housing business operations, contracting of services, procurement procedures, and housing assignment practices.
