ACUHO-I Southern Africa Chapter
The ACUHO-I Southern Africa chapter is the first of its kind for the association. Formed to address the needs of student housing and student affairs professionals on campuses throughout Southern Africa, its work has been well-received and has resulted in improved services for students.

SHTI Faculty for 2011
The following SHTI Faculty/Facilitators were selected to teach at the SHTI 2011:
- Norb W Dunkel – Assistant Vice President Student Affairs and Director of Housing and Residence Education – University of Florida in Gainesville
- Harry Le Grande – Vice Chancellor Student Affairs University of California Berkeley
- Dr. Mary F. Howard-Hamilton – Full Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Administration, and Foundations, Higher Education Program – Indiana State University
- John H. Schuh – Professor Emeritus – Iowa State University
- Suzy Campbell – Retired Associate Director for Residential Education – University of Colorado
- Azfar Mian – Director of Financial and Information Technology Services in the Department of Housing and Residence Education – University of Florida
The USA based SHTI 2011 Faculty/Facilitators will co-facilitate with five other South African based Faculty/Facilitators who have participated and/or taught the National Housing Training Institute (NHTI) hosted by the University of Maryland in 2001-2010.
