Be Involved

Applications are being sought for ACUHO-I Foundation volunteers

Nominations should be sent to fbnominations@acuho-i.org.

Position descriptions and committee involvement opportunities are listed below.

Who We Are:
The purpose of the ACUHO-I Foundation is to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in support of the activities of the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International which includes the fund development for projects, publications, programs, and workshops that will support the philosophies, purposes and goals of ACUHO-I, and to engage in any lawful act, activity or business in support of those activities.

Foundation Board Structure: The ACUHO-I Foundation Board is currently being restructured to expand opportunities and increase efficiencies. Under the new structure, the Foundation Board of Trustees will consist of seven appointed members, the vice-president of the association, and the ACUHO-I Executive Director (ex-officio). The appointed members include a chair-elect (who progresses through the chair and past-chair appointment for a 3-year term); secretary (1-year term); treasurer (2-year term); vice chair Foundation Cabinet ( 2-year term); and vice-chair Development Committees (2-year term). To stagger the two vice chair positions, so that one is appointed every year, the vice chair of the Foundation Cabinet will be an initial one year term. A diagram of this new system is here.

Additional volunteer opportunities are available to assist the ACUHO-I Foundation Board in meeting its fundraising goals. Foundation Cabinet members represent each of ACUHO-I’s regions and associations that have a formal affiliation agreement. These positions are appointed by their respective region. Development Committees are teams that target their efforts for specific fundraising initiatives such as cultivating major donors and supporting the ACUHO-I Foundation booth at the conference. See below for descriptions of available positions and the related responsibilities.
