The Sustainability Resource Center is a way for ACUHO-I to provide you with some ideas and resources that you can use on your campus to provide programming events related to sustainability.
ACUHO-I believes that being good stewards of the environment is important. Our Standards and Ethical Principles For College and University Housing Professionals in the Business Management section D1 describes it as follows, “Purchasing procedures are designed to be consistent with institutional policies, ensure that the institution receives the best value for funds spent, and consider information available for comparing the environmental impact of products purchased, here-to-fore, known as “green purchasing.” “Green purchasing” procedures are designed to be consistent with institutional policies, ensure that the institution receives the best value on its investments, and consider information available for comparing the environmental impact of products purchased.”
