The ACUHO-I Professional Standards Institute provides a rewarding opportunity for individuals to work with senior professionals to improve their knowledge and application of the ACUHO-I Standards and Ethical Principles for College and University Housing Professionals. Participants in the PSI will experience a great opportunity for professional and career development while gaining valuable knowledge. 

PSI participants spend time living and working on a host campus and participating in classroom instruction, group work, and a mock external review of the host campus's housing program.

The institute is designed to provide participants with:

  • Exposure to and an understanding of the ACUHO-I Standards
  • The use of the ACUHO-I Self-Assessment Guide
  • How to conduct an internal departmental self-review
  • How to prepare for an departmental external review
  • How to serve as an external reviewer

The next ACUHO-I Professional Standards Institute will be offered as a pre-conference to the 2010 ACUHO-I Annual Conference and Exposition in Austin, Texas. Participants may attend the Professional Standard Institute without attending the ACUHO-I Annual Conference & Exposition. By participating in the Professional Standards Institute you will gain further understanding of the ACUHO-I professional standards.

June 24-26, 2010
Starts: Thursday, June 24 at 6:00 p.m.

Texas State University-San Marcos
San Marcos, TX 78666

FEES:
U.S. and International Members:  $399 (USD)
U.S. and International Non-Members:  $630 (USD)

Participant Registration Costs Include:

  • Lodging for Thursday and Friday evenings - (lodging is single, suite-style rooms with a shared bath and common area)
  • Refreshments for breaks
  • All meals on Friday
  • Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday
  • Transportation from campus to the ACE hotels

Please Note: **It will be the participants responsibility to get to campus from the airport, train station, etc., prior to the workshop.
