The Chief Housing Officer Institute provides educational and networking opportunity for early career and experienced chief housing officers (CHOs), including in-depth analysis of major issues affecting housing operations.*

The curriculum for 2010 will focus on the following:

  • Assessing Climate and Culture; Managing institutional/leadership changes
  • Creating partnerships across campus and with external entities
  • Legal Issues
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Promoting professional development and work/life balance

Each year the institute committee selects the focus of the institute curriculum using feedback from members, the CHO competency profile, and the current higher education climate. 

*The Chief Housing Officer Institute accepts applications from aspiring CHOs. If demand from current CHOs fills the Institute we will notify aspiring CHOs 30 days prior to the Institute that there is not a space for them.
