ACUHO-I Foundation Endowments
The ACUHO-I Foundation hosts several endowments to support initiatives and make professional development opportunities available to a broader range of professionals.
With more than $1.5 million in endowment funds, the ACUHO-I Foundation and the generous individuals who support them truly make a difference. AIMHO
Assists in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I for members of the AIMHO region through annual award reimbursements.
Dr. Carmen L. Vance Endowment in Honor of Scott R. Boden Fund
Recognizes the unique and special contributions of LGBTQ+ persons to the college and university housing profession and the importance of engaging mid-level professionals. The Fund will be used expressly to provide professional development scholarships or grants to deserving members of the college and university housing profession with financial need.
Gaber Leadership
The Gaber Leadership Endowment is used expressly to provide financial assistance scholarships to undergraduate students from the UMR-ACUHO region who aspire to a career in housing and residence life and are first-time attendees of the ACUHO-I STARS College.
Gary Schwarzmueller
Named to honor the first executive director of the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International, the Gary Schwarzmueller Endowment recognizes the unique and special friendship between the Schwarzmueller family and ACUHO-I. Proceeds of this endowment assist in providing professional development opportunities offered for ACUHO-I members, specifically supporting annual award reimbursements to STARS College participants.
GLACUHO
Assists in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I for members of the GLACUHO region through annual award reimbursements.
James C. Grimm
Named to honor an outstanding housing professional, the James C. Grimm Endowment recognizes the unique and special friendship between the Grimm family and ACUHO-I. Through annual award reimbursements, this endowment assists in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I.
James Hurd
Named to honor the first African-American president of ACUHO-I, the James Hurd Endowment recognizes the unique and special contributions of persons of color to the college and university housing profession. This endowment is to assist in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I for all members through annual award reimbursements.
Lisa Pierce
Assists in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I for members of the MACUHO region, specifically supporting the administrative expenses and conference fee waivers for the Lisa A. Pierce Volunteer Incentive Program or subsequent program that supports the promotion of undergraduate students in the housing and residence life field.
Paul and Diane Jahr Endowment
The Dr. Paul and Diane Jahr Endowment is used expressly for the purpose of providing financial assistance awards to those from the SEAHO region who aspire to a career in housing and residence life and wish to attend ACUHO-I events or educational opportunities.
Robert P. Cooke
Assists in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I for members of the SWACUHO region through annual award reimbursements.
SEAHO Legacy Fund
The SEAHO Legacy Fund, also known as the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO) Endowment, honors its members and their service to the university and college student housing profession. This endowment assists in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I for members of the SEAHO region through annual award reimbursements.
Lee Thompson Family/Southwest Contract
Named to honor the largest donation given to the ACUHO-I Foundation, the Lee Thompson Family/Southwest Contract Endowment recognizes the unique and special friendship between the organization and the Lee Thompson, Sr. family, owners of Southwest Contract. The primary purpose of this fund is to assist in funding James C. Grimm National Housing Training Institute scholarship awards.
NWACUHO
Assists in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I for members of the NWACUHO region through annual award reimbursements.
UMR-ACUHO
Assists in funding professional development opportunities offered by ACUHO-I for members of the UMR-ACUHO region through annual award reimbursements.
