“The well-being of our full-time live-in staff is paramount to building a thriving residential community,”

Mary DeNiro, ACUHO-I CEO

Full-time, live-in professional staff average 10 weeks (about two-and-a-half months) of on-call time each academic year. This finding is part of the 2024 Campus Housing Index, an annual benchmarking survey conducted by The Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-I).

The full report explores live-in professional staff well-being through examining on-call requirements and crisis response experiences during the previous academic year. “The well-being of our full-time live-in staff is paramount to building a thriving residential community,” said Mary DeNiro, ACUHO-I CEO. “This new report sheds light on their unique experiences and underscores the importance of creating supportive environments and offering resources that empower them to flourish.”
